Last quilts for a while

I got some new quilting patterns a while ago and I've been too busy with other quilts to try them out. I had two small baby quilts to do for mum so I used them on those.

I forgot to take a photo of the whole quilt for some reason. But it turned out nice.

I'll be away visiting my newest grandson in Colorado for the next few weeks. Back at the end of May. I'll probably have withdrawal symptoms by then so I should be ready to get into quilting pretty quickly.

Lots of Quilts completed

I have been busy lately quilting lots of quilts so I've been a bit slack putting up Pics of them. I've just loaded a heap of them in previous posts but they are not in any order. Some were done a while ago, but mostly they were done this year. I've forgotten who did which ones but I'm going to try to be a little more organised and put them up regularly with the makers' names on them.
I have some more backing fabric available now. When I get back from overseas at the end of May I'm hoping to get some pics of the fabrics and put them on the blog as well as pics of my patterns. I have some new ones that are pretty nice.
It's a bit difficult to see the quilting on this lovely quilt. Its the Daisies galore which is one of my favourite patterns.

Hard to see the quilting again on this one. I did crosshatching on the alternate squares and stitch in the ditch on the embroidered squares with piano keys on the outside border.

I really enjoyed doing this custom work. The quilt isn't too big so and I was able to do a few different patterns. I love doing custom work but it's very time consuming and intense work which makes it expensive, expecially on a big quilt.

Another of the newer patterns all over this one looks good.

I've done quite a few different versions of this quilt so I can't remember who they each belong to. There are more pics further down. I did them all differently according to how much money the customer's wanted to spend.

This one has a wriggly crosshatch which is actually more difficult to do than it looks but I think it suited this quilt.
Hard to see the quilting on this because it was mostly stitch in the ditch. A busy quilt is sometimes better without too much detailed quilting. I'm getting pretty good at stitch in the ditch and I really enjoy doing it but it is slow work so can be expensive.
This is a different quilt than the previous one. That crosshatching behind the houses is really quite difficult to do because of the applique but it looks good

Another Constantine Farm. Crosshatching on this one which I thought looked good.

Stitch in the ditch around the planes and freehand swirls. I love freehand work.

This one is just stippled on the prints. The applique blocks were not too big so they were left with no quilting. Stitch in the ditch around the applique would have looked nice but wasn't really necessary and it would have made it a lot more expensive for the custome. I think she was happy without it.

This quilt is huge so the stippling is quite large but I think it looked good. This was the cheapest way I could think to do this quilt.
